PHOTOS FOR YOUR WALLS AT HOME…?

OUR SILENT AUCTION

The photographers involved in the “Endurance” exhibition have kindly donated one unique print of each of the photos below. These are for sale via a “silent auction”. A minimum of 50% of any money raised will be donated to the amazing Bridport charity - Harmony - Bridport’s mental health hub. The rest will go towards covering the costs of putting on the exhibition. Once those are covered, everything then goes to Harmony.

All these prints are available to view in the foyer of Bridport Arts Centre until Saturday 5th June.

There is more info on how to bid etc. at the bottom of this page after the photos.

HOW DOES OUR SILENT AUCTION WORK…?

Each photo has either been printed by the photographer themselves, or by local fine art printer - Format Print Studio. Each will be signed by the photographer, and delivered (for free) unframed. Print sizes vary - see images below for details.

  • Here is how it works:

    - you decide how much you would be happy to pay for the print and let us know (either here online or by text - details below)

    - we let you know if you are the highest bidder, or, if there is already a higher bid, you get the chance to bid again.

    - when the auction closes (10pm on Sunday 13th June) the highest bidder gets the print (payment by bank transfer, or cash on collection / delivery – happy to deliver locally or we can post).

  • Is there a guide price or minimum bid? Tough one… in here are photos by George Wright (photos in the permanent collection at the National Portrait Gallery / past exhibitor in the Metropolitan Museum in New York) and Pete Millson (also photos in the permanent collection at the National Portrait Gallery). So we have set a minimum bid for each print at £50 (£60 for Paul’s set of 3 colours). Please remember that no less than 50% of each bid will go to Harmony.

  • We are managing this auction manually ourselves rather than with some fancy software so…to avoid last minute panics, please ensure that your final bids come in no later than 8pm on Sunday 13th June. If you are NOT the highest bidder at 8pm, we will let you know, and you then have you one final opportunity to increase your bid before 10pm.
